Stephen Zapata (Hamden, Conn.), who currently leads the nation in assists with 19 on the year, has set an Albertus Magnus men's soccer program single-season record with his assist tally.

Zapata registered five points in the Falcons' 6-0 win over Lasell on Saturday, Oct. 22 as he scored one goal and dished out three assists.

The junior currently leads the nation in two categories as he is ranked first in both total assists and assists per game. He averages 1.27 per game, while his tally of 19 assists is currently the best in the country among all Division I, II and III men's soccer programs.

Zapata and the Falcons return to action on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 1:00 p.m. as they host Mount Ida in the quarterfinals of the 2011 GNAC Tournament.
