The Albertus Magnus men's soccer team has earned its second-straight ECAC Tournament bid and will host No. 7 Endicott College on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 1:30 p.m. on Celentano Field.
Wednesday's contest marks the first-ever ECAC Tournament home game for the Falcons as they were selected as the second seed of the Division III New England bracket.
Brandeis was selected as the top-team in New England by the ECAC, while Albertus and Castleton State round out the top-three programs.
The Falcons stand at 15-3-1 on the year after their early exit from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference tournament on Nov. 3.
With a 2-0 GNAC Tournament quarterfinal win over Mount Ida on Oct. 31, the Falcons tied a program-best tally of 15 wins in a single season. On Wednesday against the Gulls, Albertus will look to set a new program record in that category.
Albertus will be led by senior Jamal Howard (West Haven, Conn.), junior Stephen Zapata (Hamden, Conn.) and sophomore Donato Piroscafo (Naugatuck, Conn.). Howard currently leads the Falcons with 21 goals and four assists for 46 points, while Zapata leads the nation in assists with 20 on the year.
Piroscafo has played over 1,630 minutes in net for the Falcons as he has allowed just 13 goals this season, while posting a save percentage of .865 along with eight shutouts.
The Falcons have outscored their opponents 52-13 on the year and hold a 374-216 advantage in total shots.
