Senior Ray Askew of the Albertus Magnus men's basketball team has been named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Weekly Honor Roll as announced by the league office on Monday night.

Askew led the Falcons to a 2-0 week as he shot 72-percent from the field for 48 points en route to back-to-back GNAC victories over both Johnson & Wales (RI) and Anna Maria.

With nine rebounds in Saturday's contest against Anna Maria, Askew became the Albertus men's basketball all-time rebounding leader as he currently has 1,042 rebounds in his career. He is also the GNAC's all-time leader in rebounds, an honor that he took over on Jan. 10.

Askew also played well defensively for the Falcons over the week as he grabbed seven defensive rebounds and registered four steals on Saturday in the win. Against JWU on Monday, Jan. 16, Askew led the Falcons with his sixth double-double of the season as he scored 36 points and pulled down 14 rebounds.

The Falcons will host Lasell on Tuesday night in a GNAC match-up, which is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. after the Albertus women's basketball contest against Conn College.
