The Albertus Magnus men's basketball team received a No. 15 ranking in this week's D3hoops.com Top-25 Poll. This is the third-straight week that the Falcons have been ranked among the top Division III teams in the nation.
Last week, the Falcons were ranked 20th before finishing out the regular season with two more victories to improve to 24-1 on the year. Albertus finished the regular season on a 19-game winning streak, while the Falcons finished a perfect 18-0 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play. That achievement made the Falcons the first-ever men's basketball team to finish conference play undefeated.
The Falcons' 24 wins marks a program-best tally of wins in a single-season, surpassing the Falcons' previous record of 23, recorded in 2009-10.
Hope College remained in the top spot for the third-straight week with a 24-1 overall record, while Amherst and Middlebury rounded out the top-three teams. MIT and Mary Hardin-Baylor moved into the No. 4 and No. 5 spots in this week's poll as well.
The D3hoops.com Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country, and is published weekly.
