Senior Ray Askew (Hamden, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus men's basketball team has been named GNAC Player of the Week after leading the Falcons to a perfect 18-0 record in conference regular-season play. This is the third time this season that Askew has earned this honor.

Askew led Albertus to a 2-0 showing last week as they became the first men's basketball program in GNAC history to finish undefeated in conference action. The senior scored 57 points and averaged 28.5 points per game as he averaged 12.5 rebounds, while pulling down 25 boards on the week.

He shot 51.4-percent from the floor to lead the Falcons on the week as well.

Askew is now just 24 points shy of tying the Albertus Magnus men's basketball record of 2,234 set by Tim Russell '05.

Spencer Smith (New Haven, Conn.) earned a spot on the weekly honor roll as he scored 10 points for the Falcons and averaged 5.5 rebounds on the week.

The Falcons will host Emerson on Tuesday night in GNAC Tournament quarterfinal action. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
