Falcons to Face AMCats in GNAC Championship Saturday

The Albertus Magnus men's basketball team will travel to Paxton, Mass. on Saturday, Feb. 23 to face Anna Maria College in the 2013 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship contest. Game time is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.

Admission is free to all fans but seating is limited so fans are encouraged to arrive early.

The Falcons have made the title game three out of the last four years.  Saturday's game will mark the second-consecutive year in which the Falcons and AMCats will meet in the title game.

Albertus is led by Darius Watson (New Britain, Conn.) who leads the GNAC in points per game with a 22.7 average.  Albertus is currently 23-4 marking its second-straight 20-win season and its third in the last four years.

The Falcons are 4-3 all-time against Anna Maria and have posted a 2-2 record when playing in Paxton, Mass.
 
Anna Maria is 20-7 on the year and finished with a 16-2 record in league play to take the top seed in this year's tournament. Last year, the AMCats were the sixth seed and battled their way into the championship game in New Haven, Conn. Albertus won that meeting 88-54 for the 2012 Championship.
